The BGCGC Celebrates Afterschool Professionals Appreciation Week

In honor of Afterschool Professionals Appreciation Week, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Gloucester County published several profiles on our staff members. Take a look down below to view our profiles for our Glassboro staff members.

Chelsea Bittle

The first Afterschool Professional we would like to highlight for Afterschool Professionals Appreciation Week is Chelsea Bittle.

Chelsea is a YDP (Youth Development Professional Level III) at our Glassboro Club, where she has worked for two years. Her favorite program that the Boys & Girls Clubs offers is Triple Play, a program that focuses on health and wellness, because she likes to see which sports the kids are most interested in.

When asked her favorite part about the job, she says, “My favorite part is seeing the kids’ faces and watching them grow each day. I also love being able to talk to the kids and be someone who they can look up to.” Chelsea’s #IMPACT on our Club members does not go unnoticed. Thank you, Chelsea, for embodying what it means to be a great Afterschool Professional!

Alexa Williams

The next staff member we would like to highlight for Afterschool Professionals Appreciation Week is Alexa Williams from our Glassboro Club. Alexa is Glassboro’s Center Supervisor. She grew up in Washington Township and has worked at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Gloucester County for two years.

Her favorite program that the Boys & Girls Clubs offers is the Art program because of her passion in music, dance, poetry, literature, graphic design, sculpture, and fashion. When asked what her favorite part of working at the organization is, she responded, “The kids. It is great to know and see the outcome of what we work hard for everyday. It is as simple as a single kid saying ‘I had fun today’. Knowing I contribute fulfillment in any aspect of their lives is rewarding.”

Thank you Alexa for being a great example for our kids and an asset to the organization. We are so lucky to have you!

Teia Montgomery

To celebrate Afterschool Professionals Appreciation Week, we would like to take a moment to highlight another one of our staff members, Teia Montgomery.

Teia is a YDP (Youth Development Professional Level III) at our Glassboro Club. She grew up in Clayton, New Jersey and has worked at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Gloucester County for two years.

Teia is particularly passionate about the art program because she loves doing crafts with the kids. When asked what her favorite part of the job is, Teia said, “Getting to spend time with the kids and helping them.”

Thank you, Teia, for your dedication to your role at the Boys & Girls Clubs! Our kids are so fortunate to have you as a role model.
